First-Time Bike

No interest at age two but interest starting at age three—there's no need to worry if it's a bit late with the Transform Bike C14.
It's not well-known, but many children who get a kick bike at age two don't actually start riding until the latter half of the year. They usually switch to a bicycle at age four. The typical age for starting to ride a bicycle is between four and five years old.

With the Transform Bike C14

The standard steps to starting to ride a bicycle are: 1. Balance, 2. Braking with a kick bike, and 3. Pedal practice.

Start with a kick bike at three years old; adventurous kids may start riding a bicycle earlier than their peers, and even cautious children can make a solid debut on a bicycle before starting elementary school.

With C14, you don't need to worry about choosing a bike based on your child's personality. The time spent choosing and teaching is minimal, reducing the burden on parents.

After debuting on a bicycle, the C14, which can be used for a long time, is also perfect for cycling. Please enjoy a delightful weekend with your family.

Switching from a Kick Bike

There are two main concerns for parents when switching from a kick bike:

Children often have no interest in brakes, leading to accidents or injuries after they start riding bicycles. The risk varies with each kick bike.

Many kick bikes are marketed for their light weight, usually around 3-4 kg. Bicycles chosen for long-term use weigh about 8-14 kg, a difference of 5-10 kg. Given that a child weighs about 12-13 kg, they are essentially transitioning to a bike that nearly half their body weight.

With the Transform Bike C14

The standard steps for learning to ride include balance, braking with feet on the ground, and pedal practice.

With any kick bike, if you switch to a Transform Bike C14 balance bike, the weight difference is slight. First, learn to brake with your feet on the ground. Games like "Transform Bike Roulette" and "Red Light, Green Light" make learning to brake fun.

Once braking is mastered, add pedals for pedal practice and then challenge the bicycle. The balance skills previously developed allow for a quick and safe bicycle debut. Teaching your child will be a quick and enjoyable experience.

If your child has already ridden a kick bike, they can master balance on the C14 within 30 minutes to a few days and then move on to riding a bicycle.

Even after their bicycle debut, the second-generation pedal system can be easily removed, allowing your child to use it as a full-fledged kick bike when they want to play.

The 60 tpi road bike tires, which offer good grip and are soft, can be enjoyed both as a kick bike and a bicycle. Take it in the car trunk and try out bumpy mountain bike trails!

If Training Wheels Haven't Been Removed Yet

There are two main reasons for not being able to remove training wheels:

If you've bought a larger bike so it can be used for a long time, a child's bike weighing 12-15 kg with a child weighing 12-13 kg is equivalent to a parent trying to ride a bike weighing 40-50 kg.

An electric bike designed for carrying children might weigh about 20 kg, and with two children, it could reach around 50 kg.

It's difficult for children to move freely in this scenario.

Even with a heavy bike, training wheels prevent it from falling over, allowing the child to move forward. Normally, riding a bike involves balancing the heaviest part, the head, via the spine on the saddle and instinctively moving the body to the opposite side to prevent falling.

However, if the body has learned that "training wheels will support it," it's hard for the instinct to kick in. Removing the training wheels suddenly removes the support, and if the child falls, it can create a painful, frightening memory.

With the Transform Bike C14

With the Transform Bike C14, children can learn balance while playing with a bike that's half their body weight. Once they've mastered balance, they can pedal freely and debut confidently on a bicycle.

Many parents wonder why they ever struggled before. This bike also eliminates any fear of bicycles for children and eases parents' worries.

If you're not confident in teaching, a 30-minute bicycle class with an instructor can provide support.

Judges' Comments

The design was highly appreciated for its user-friendly features in each phase, from using it as a kick bike at age three to a bicycle in early elementary school.

The thoughtful design is evident in the home pedal attachment, responding to the decreasing number of bicycle shops and the increasing need for pedal pedaling practice due to the popularity of kick bikes, achieving a professional frame shape and high-quality impression.
